What are Different Types of Veneer Materials used in our Campbell Office?

Pop On Veneers
These veneers are a temporary, BPA-free option that can be worn or removed as desired. They are also referred to as snap-on veneers and are often chosen by individuals who want fast results and do not want to go through the process of preparing their teeth for permanent veneers. While Dr. Esfandiari does not usually recommend this option, she has had a few patients who have chosen it.
Lumineers Teeth
Lumineers are a brand of porcelain veneers produced by DenMat. They are ultra-thin veneers that are often so thin that no dental enamel (tooth preparation) is needed for them to bond. Also known as “no-prep” veneers, Lumineers are made of laminate rather than zirconia, porcelain, or composite resin. While they were popular in the past, Dr. Esfandiari now recommends e.max over Lumineers.
Emax Veneer
These are one of the most sought-after types of dental veneers and are highly recommended by Dr. Esfandiari. Dr. Esfandiari often prefers Emax veneers, which are made of a special type of porcelain called lithium disilicate, for cases where excellent aesthetics are required, particularly in the front teeth. The unique quality of lithium disilicate is its exceptional translucency and opalescence, which gives Emax veneers a natural appearance and makes them almost indistinguishable from natural teeth.
Zirconium Veneers
Zirconium veneers are made of a ceramic called zirconia oxide, which is white in color. These veneers come in various shades and are suitable for veneering teeth with different colors and tones. Zirconium veneers are also strong and durable and do not cause any allergic reactions in the mouth. How are Veneers Prepared by Dr. Esfandiari?
The procedure for fabricating different types of dental veneers is more or less the same in our Campbell office. The procedure is straightforward and Dr. Esfandiari usually completes them in 2-3 sittings.
- Examination and Treatment Planning – at the first appointment, Dr. Esfandiari will thoroughly examine your teeth and look at their x-ray images and study models. This is done to prepare a treatment plan that is fully customized to your dental needs.
